How To Use The iHarvest

The iHarvest is a revolutionary indoor gardening system that allows you to grow plants, herbs, and vegetables in a compact space with minimal effort. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the iHarvest:

1. Drop Any Seed Into the Media

The iHarvest comes with a special growing media that is designed to provide the perfect balance of water, oxygen, and nutrients for your plants. Simply drop your chosen seed into the media and gently press it down so that it is covered.

2. Drop the Media Into the Net Pot

Once your seed is in the media, place the media into the net pot that comes with the iHarvest. The net pot is designed to hold the media in place while allowing roots to grow through and into the water below.

3. Add Water and Nutrients

Fill the water reservoir in the base of the iHarvest with water and add the recommended amount of plant nutrients. The iHarvest comes with a nutrient kit that includes everything you need to get started.

4. Watch Your Seed Sprout & Grow 3x Faster Than Traditional Gardening

The iHarvest uses a combination of hydroponic and aeroponic technology to provide your plants with the perfect growing conditions. As a result, your plants will sprout and grow up to three times faster than traditional gardening methods. Keep an eye on your plants and make sure to add more water and nutrients as needed. Before you know it, you’ll be harvesting your own fresh, delicious produce right from your living room.

Accessories

The iHarvest comes with Rapid Rooter plugs that are fortified with general hydroponic micronutrients for abundant root growth. These plugs have an optimal air-to-water ratio within the plug matrix that results in explosive early root growth, which supports explosive plant growth later on. However, when these plugs run out, they can be purchased separately. Each bag contains 50 plugs and measures 10-1/2-inch length by 12-inch width by 3-1/2-inch height. Using rapid rooter plugs is a great way to ensure that your plants have a strong foundation and grow to their full potential.

Garden Pods

Net Pots are an essential component of many hydroponic and aeroponic systems. They serve as a holder for the plants and allow the roots to grow through the mesh and into the nutrient-rich solution. When you run out of net pots, you can easily purchase more to keep your plants growing. These particular net pots are designed with a Comfortably Wide Lip Top in Round with Slotted Mesh on the Sides for DWC Cloners, Aeroponic Cloning Machine, Hydroponic, and Aeroponic system use. They come in U.S. standard sizes and have extra thickness on the side walls and bottoms to ensure durability. These net pots work well with popular rooting cubes, seed starter plugs, rockwools, grow stone or other grow media. Overall, having a steady supply of net pots is crucial for maintaining the health and growth of your hydroponic or aeroponic plants.

Net Cups

When you run out of pH nutrients, it is important to purchase more in order to maintain the proper pH levels for your plants. The base solution for pH nutrients is typically formulated using potassium hydroxide and potassium carbonate, and can be added to your plant’s nutrient solution when the pH is too low. This helps to raise the pH to the proper level, which promotes pH stability and optimal plant growth. It is important to add the base solution a little at a time if the nutrient pH is too low, in order to avoid over-correction. The recommended pH range for most plants is between 5.5 and 6.5 pH.

pH Liquid

MaxiGro is a plant nutrient system that provides all the necessary nutrients for fast vegetative-stage growth. The system comes with its own nutrients, but when you run out, you can always purchase more. It is recommended to purchase more when you buy the system, since you will always need it and will run through it. MaxiGro by General Hydroponics is a dry nutrient supplement that is pH-buffered and easy to use. It works with both traditional and hydroponic setups, making it a versatile option for any type of grower. MaxiGro is a popular choice for those looking for a reliable and effective plant nutrient system.

Seeds

You can use just about any seed! Here are a few we recommend for beginners!

  • Vegetables
  • Fruits
  • Herbs
  • Plants and Flowers

Note: Growing berries hydroponically requires careful attention to their environment in order to achieve the best possible fruit production. It is not as simple as planting them in the system and letting them do their job. Berries have specific temperature requirements, with indoor temperatures between 72°F and 74°F during the day and from 68°F to 70°F at night being ideal. Additionally, different berry species have varying chilling hour requirements, with raspberries and blackberries needing up to 800 hours of chilling at temperatures below 45°F, while blueberries require up to 600 hours. Chilling helps the plants enter their active growth cycle, resulting in a higher yield. Therefore, growing berries hydroponically requires careful monitoring of temperature and chilling hours to ensure optimal fruit production.
